چکیده

The use of low frequency or DC (i.e., direct current) operation in the electroslag remelting process may lead to electrolysis some oxides slag pool, which will adversely affect cleanliness ingot. In order confirm this view, effect different power supply modes on oxygen content and inclusions ingot has been studied by adopting self-designed furnace as experimental equipment. pulse heating inert gas fusion-infra-red absorption method is used for analyzing content. analysis non-metallic inclusion conducted using an automatic SEM scanning electron microscope) made American ASPEX Company, where type size are determined. Results show that increase significantly compared with consumable metal electrode, whether under 50 Hz, low-frequency, DC. When DCSP electrode connected cathode supply), DCRP anode 2 10 Hz adopted, 155.3 ppm, 100.4 75.8 66.3 43.2 ppm respectively. With content, number ingots increases significantly, increased mainly Al2O3 inclusions. Regardless mode, largest diameter less than 20 μm. reason when CaF2-Al2O3 used. decrease frequency, trend increases, also increase. However, most regenerated pool temperature solidification, so fine.

Effect of Mean Stress on Fatigue Crack Growth Behavior of Stainless Steel 304L

Stainless steel has been employed in many engineering applications ranging from pharmaceutical equipment to piping in the nuclear reactors and storage to chemical products. In this attempt, simulation of fatigue crack growth based on experimental results of austenitic stainless steel 304L was presented using AFGROW code when NASGRO mode laws adopted. Double through crack at hole specimen is use...

Relaxation Peaks of Cold Worked 304l Stainless Steel

In this investigation internal friction of cold worked 304L austenitic stainless steel was measured and the new peaks (PlIP2,P3) were found. The height of those peaks increased with cold work degree. The temperature of the main peak P3 was 33513340K at the frequency of -1,000Hz. The activation energies and frequency factors were obtained from peak shift. The values were 0.4evl 0.4evl 0.6ev and ...

Effect of Current on Structure and Macrosegregation in Dual Alloy Ingot Processed by Electroslag Remelting

Macrosegregation is a very common problem for the quality control of all cast ingots. The effect of current on the structure and macrosegregation in dual alloy ingot processed by electroslag remelting (ESR) was investigated experimentally with various analytical methods. In this study, the electrode consisted of NiCrMoV alloy bar (upper part) and CrMoV alloy (lower part) with a diameter of 55 m...
